Mecha Fly Guys first appear in ''[[Mario Party]]'', where the Mecha Fly Guy is sold in the [[Mushroom Shop]] for one-hundred [[coin]]s. After being purchased, it is sent to the [[Mini-Game House]]. Selecting it makes the player play a game, where they have to rotate the {{button|N64|Stick}} as many times as possible for ten seconds. The Mecha Fly Guy then flies around the room until it falls on the floor. It then says how long its flight was, and how many times the player rotated the {{button|N64|Stick}}. It then makes a comment on how the player did.
