Skullcopters are mostly encountered in areas with narrow platforms and many pits, or in level segments in which Wario needs the help of an [[Owl]]. Some of them float slowly from one point to another, while others circle in the air with much faster speed. They are invulnerable and will make Wario lose [[Coin]]s and his footage upon contact. They will also scare Wario's owl away if he has one while taking damage.
