So, given that this is (apparently)[1] a MIDI file from the late 2000's, I have been left with some concerns about the authenticity of this file.
As partly noted in the page's own edit history, this track isn't a 1-1 match with the track from the game, as is true of many MIDI tracks of this era. (Official versions from this time were usually played in G Minor or a non-existent middle point between G# and A minor.) I have also never heard anything concrete regarding the origins of this file. I've seen it described to as everything from "a recreation", "a recording", or "a gamerip", but have heard virtually no info on where it came from, and when it was ripped/recorded/whatever else.
What's the story on this thing? And if it does turn out to be a fan-made imitation, is there a more accurate version of the track we could use on this page in its stead? Wandering Poplin (talk) 16:29, July 14, 2026 (UTC)
