==Gameplay==
The goal of the game is to count out the correct coinage into a tray on the left-hand side, corresponding to the price shown on the register display. Counting out the correct coinage will automatically result in a win. If the player does not have the correct coinage in the tray by the time the timer reaches 1, a loss will occur.

In ''WarioWare: D.I.Y.'', the coins are paid to a cat, and the price can only be either $1.20 or $2.10; the player is given two 10-cent coins and two $1 coins for the transaction. Tapping on a coin will transfer it between the player's coin purse and the tray. In the Japanese version, ¥10 and ¥100 coins are used; in the European version, either pounds (£) or euro (€) are used depending on the language.

In ''WarioWare Gold'', the microgame has been rethemed: instead of paying a cat from a coin purse, the player has to pay a human cashier from their hand. The amount displayed on the register varies more widely, and it is randomized based on the level. Coins must be dragged with the stylus between the player's hand and the tray. No currency symbols are used; the coins come in denominations of 1, 5, 10, and 25. In non-American versions, a 50-coin is used instead of 25.
