"Adieu, My Love" is a song featured in Super Mario Bros.: Peach-hime Kyūshutsu Dai Sakusen! It plays when Mario daydreams about his feelings for Princess Peach while he, Luigi, and Kibidango are locked up in a cave, and again during the ending credits. It is sung by Chikako Ishikawa, with music by Toshiyuki Kimori and lyrics by Mari Hayama.
An instrumental version of the song, "Adieu, My Love ~Grand Theme Boku no Kimochi~", plays when Mario first meets Princess Peach and when Kinoko Sennin tasks Mario and Luigi to collect the three power-ups and save Princess Peach from being married to Bowser.

If I love someone, I'll be happy. I'm sure, someday. The city jungle with its sorrows, the nighttime stills, I love you—like the old Adam and Eve Just for now, close your eyes and hold it gently to my chest. With both hands full of happiness between them and that window. The city jungle with its sorrows, the nighttime stills, I love you—in the city where I found the shine I'll never forget it, gently in my heart. I love you—in the city where I found the shine I'll never forget it, gently in my heart. |
