World 2 (Super Mario Bros. 2)

Template:Worldbox World 2 is the second world of the game Yume Kōjō: Doki Doki Panic, and was also featured in the game Super Mario Bros. 2. The world has a desert and pyramid theme to it, which is later revisited in World 6. It is in this world that the player meets for the first time the Cobrat Pokey and Panser enemies, as well as their first boss fight against the red Birdo the can spit fireballs as well as eggs. The main boss of the world, fought at the end of World 2-3, is Tryclyde, the three-headed snake.

Areas

World 2-1

This level is divided into two segments. In the first, the chosen character has to walk through the sandy and silvester desert as he or she avoids traps like quicksand and new enemies, such as Pokey cacti, Cobrat snakes, and numerous Pansers. After that, a pyramid is explored; the character has to dig through sand until reaching the bottom. Birdo is fought in a chamber full of chasms, so caution is the key in the battle.

World 2-2

Very similar to the first level; outside exploration is first, followed by an underground cavern. There is also an additional cavern where an extra life can be gained. In the first cavern, you can get a magic potion. After the cavern there are a 6 vases. 5 of them filled with red turtle shells and the other vase has a heart and a POW block. Then there is a large pit filled with Shy Guys. After going down the large pit there is a door that leads to a Birdo that shoots both fireballs and eggs. This is the the first time birdo can do that(although mushroom blocks can be used instead to battle her here).

World 2-3

If the player plays as Luigi, there is a cave right at the beginning of the level, that only Luigi can jump high enough to get to, that leads to a magic potion and a bunch of coins.

The rest of the level is not too different from its two predecessors. The difference is that, once inside the pyramid, the chosen character must first fall through a hole. After landing on the first ledge, there is a magic potion that leads the player to a Yoshi egg in the remake. Then dig to the bottom to find a key that open the door showing the path that leads to the world's boss, Tryclyde.

World 2-1

• The first one is above the first bones, right before the first vase.
• The second coin is above the cactus and right before the Panser.
• This one is in between the 2 cactuses in the quicksand right before the pyramid.
• The fourth coin is on the right side of the screen when the player starts digging.
• The last one is below the forth coin and to the left.

World 2-2

• The first coin is above the first bone.
• The second coin is above the bone on the second quicksand pit.
• The third one is in between the 2 pansers after all the vases.
• The fourth one is on the left side of the screen when the sand pit widends.
• The last one is on the left side of the pit when it splits in two.

Wold 2-3

• The first one is to the right of the first cactus.
• The second coin is above the cactus before the second sand pit.
• The third coin is in the left drop lane.
• The fourth coin is to left of the door that leads to the key.
• The last coin is directly above the Panser.

World 2-1

• The first egg is falling in the very start of the quicksand.
• The second egg is right where the red Panser is.

World 2-2

• The first egg is on the right side of the wall that can crumble where the heart is. The player has to get the magic potion on the other side of the wall.
• The second egg is at the top of the pit. The player has to get the magic potion by going down the pit to the left side of the spilt newt to the vase.

World 2-3

• The first egg is to the right of the ladder near the veggies.
• The second egg is on the ledge where the potion is.
