Tatsumi Kimishima (君島 達己) is the fifth and current president of Nintendo, being appointed to presidency in September 2015 after Satoru Iwata's death in office. He has revealed to be elected as president for only one year, and is unsure what will happen when the year ends.[1] Before his role as president of Nintendo, he was Pokémon USA's Chief Financial advisor and head of Nintendo of America from 2002 to 2006, as well as a managing director at Nintendo, at the human resources division. Kimishima has also worked for 27 years at the Sanwa Bank of Japan, prior to working for Nintendo.

Kimishima had predicted that the Wii U console would not be successful, primarily because it was too similar to the Wii.[1] He has plans to continue in Iwata's direction and is still focused on Nintendo's efforts to enter the mobile market.[1]
