Sir Shovalots[1] are enemies in Donkey Kong on the Game Boy, first appearing in Stage 3-2 on the Ship. When Mario is in their line of sight, they stop to gradually extend their shield and then charge at him. They do not hurt Mario themselves, but push him away, and can only walk back if he is on a ladder. They can push Mario off the platform he is currently standing on, but they can also push him against a wall, flattening him and making him lose a life in the process. Sir Shovalots can also push Mario into narrow gaps while he is crouching, allowing him to access new areas. Redesigned Sir Shovalots appear in Mario vs. Donkey Kong, showing up in Spooky House and Twilight City. They act similarly, but they now charge as soon as they see Mario.
