Azalea is a female golfer in the Mario Golf series. She is a human, as are many other golfers in the series.

In Mario Golf, she was one of four characters that the player could choose from at the beginning of the game and train however the player like. She could then be uploaded to the N64 version for more training.

According to the Mario Golf manual, Azalea was seventeen and is an experienced athlete who also runs track. In Mario Golf: Advance Tour, she defeated Tiny and took the title as Champion of the Dunes course, and sided with him as a doubles partner for the Dunes Club Doubles Cup. When Neil or Ella defeats her, she says that she realizes how Tiny must have felt when she had defeated him.

Physical Appearance

In Mario Golf, Azalea has shoulder-length orange hair curled back and blue eyes. She wears a yellow-collared white polo shirt, an orange vest, and yellow shorts. She wears white socks, orange golf shoes, and a red golfing glove. Azalea also sports a white and orange visor with a red N depicted on it, most likely a reference to Nintendo.

In Mario Golf: Advance Tour, Azalea is the character whose character design had the least changes. She still wears an orange vest over a white polo shirt, though her shorts appear to be longer, and she now wears the trademark white glove. Her hair has grown a bit longer, and her visor has been replaced with a cherry red cap with a white stripe.

Azalea happens to look very much alike the character Princess Daisy. Not only do they have similar hair (in both style colour), but they also wear the same colors in their outfits. Since Azalea's design was created before Princess Daisy's redesign (which debuted in Mario Party 4), it could be believed that Daisy's current appearance was based off Azalea's, and vice-versa.
