Wall Jump
The Wall Jump is a move that Mario or Luigi can use in various games. In narrow passageways Mario and Luigi can use it to ascend to the top. They jump wall to wall with a little more height with each Jump. They can reach great heights, cross wide gaps, or just save themselves from falling into a bottomless pit. It takes a bit of practice to master though. To use press the jump button while sliding down a wall. If the walls are too far from each other Mario won't be able to use the move correctly. It has been used in many platformer games. In Mario vs. Donkey Kong 2: March of the Minis, Mini Marios can Wall Jump on certain occasions, mostly on Wall Jump Bars.
The move first appeared in Super Mario 64 and of course appeared in the remake. It also appeared in Super Mario Sunshine, and in Super Smash Bros. Melee. The latest appearance of the move is in Super Mario Galaxy.
