Ashley is a teen witch and Red is the pet of Ashley and seems to be some sort of devil or imp from WarioWare: Touched! on the Nintendo DS. Red is supportive of her efforts and is always willing to lend a hand. Ashley is commonly seen holding a small, stuffed rabbit doll with sewed lips. It is possible this is a poppet, a type of doll used for voodoo. Her theme song states that she never "plays" with dolls, meaning that the doll could have some sort of dark purpose.

Ashley's microgames in WarioWare: Touched! (collectively called "Total Drag") consist of tapping and dragging objects. The boss stage of her minigame collection is known to be quite tough, as the player controls the Earth and protects it from the offensive forces of the galaxy. The player has the ability to shoot energy beams at other attacking planets.

It is possible that Red is the low-pitched man singing Ashley's theme, but this is unlikley because in WarioWare: Smooth Moves, he has a squeaky, high pitched voice. In Touched, Ashley needed to have a last ingredient for her potion when she spots Orbulon's ship crashing. Red almost caught Orbulon, but didn't. Red asks Ashley to forgive him and Ashley kindly does...until she says she is going to use Red instead.

Red obviously survives whatever perils Ashley puts him under, as both return in WarioWare: Smooth Moves. Ashley's level is named "The Loquacious Spell Book". Ashley attempts to cast one on a potted plant, using Red as her magic wand, but she gains meager results; it only causes the sprout to become a daisy. Suddenly Ashley is addressed by a sentient spell book with a skull on the front that says it can help. Once the level is complete, the player is shown Ashley trying the spell again after receiving help from the book, which causes another potted plant to grow into an enormous, monstrous venus flytrap which bursts through the roof. Red is visibly frightened by the development, but Ashley herself simply smiles.

Her boss stage is a relatively simple concept this time; it uses the "Discard" form and the player simply has to pick up a tray once the burger on top of it has been finished, signified by the placing of the top bun at the end. Various bizarre objects and substances are put in the burger, such as octopus tentacles and even Wii Remotes, and it gets progressively larger and more exaggerated as the levels rise. It is simply a test of reflexes to grab the tray the second the top bun is placed on it.

Additionally, Ashley's Theme (seen below) appears in Super Smash Bros. Brawl. It uses actual vocals, with Ashley's voice being used in the song. It is unknown what stage it appears in, or if Ashley is even in the game.

Theme Song (from WarioWare: Touched!)

SINGERS: Who's the girl next door living in the haunted mansion?
ASHLEY: You'd better learn my name, 'cause I am
SINGERS: Ashley! She knows the darkest spells and she brews the meanest potions.
ASHLEY: You might be the ingredient I seek.
SINGERS: Don't let yourself be fooled by her innocent demeanor.
ASHLEY: You should be afraid of the great—
SINGERS: Ashley! She doesn't play with dolls and she never combs her hair.
ASHLEY: Who has time for girly things like that? {music solo} Eye of newt, I cast a hex on you. Grandma's wig, this will make you big. Kitten spit, soon, your pants won't fit. Pantalones giganticus! Oh no, not again…
SINGERS: She can rule the world and still finish all her homework.
ASHLEY: Everyone knows that I'm the greatest:
SINGERS: Ashley!
ASHLEY: You'd better watch your step, or she'll cast a spell on you. I turned my teacher into a spoon. I refer to my spell book, and yes, it's true: I don't have as many friends as you. But I think you're nice, and maybe we could be buds. And if you say no, you're toast.
SINGERS: Who's the girl next door living in the haunted mansion?
ASHLEY: You'd better learn my name 'cause I am—
SINGERS: Ashley!
ASHLEY: Just remember this when you see her on the street: I'm the cruelest girl you'll ever meet.

Controversy

There were some issues over Ashley's theme. The issues were that if you spun it fast enough in the music game, it would come out with the words "I've granted kids to Hell!" This, along with her being a witch, made many believe that Nintendo was encouraging Satanism. However Nintendo and Nintendo Power both stated that it was an accident and the words come out like that due to it meshing pieces of the song together. However, the word, 'hell', doesn't appear in the song at all, she is actually saying, 'pants'.
