He appears as the game's fourth major boss. He attacks Mario, Luigi and Paper Mario before they enter the Gloomy Woods. In battle, he steals Paper Mario's Copy Block so he can copy himself. The group have to find out which copy is the real one. The trio eventually defeat him and move on to Gloomy Woods.
