The Lightning Cup is a cup in the Mario Kart series. Its first appearance was in Mario Kart: Super Circuit. It was a cup between the Flower Cup and Star Cup. It was absent in Mario Kart Double Dash!! but it made a reapearance in Mario Kart DS and Mario Kart Wii as a cup with tracks from past Mario Kart games. The emblem of the cup is the Thunderbolt. It fetures tracks from the precious cups, Flower Cup, Lighting Cup (Mario Kart: Super Circuit, Star Cup, Special Cup The following tracks appeared in the Lightning Cup.

- In the Mario Kart: Super Circuit manual, the Lightning Cup is called the Thunder Cup.
- The Mario Kart Wii's Lightning Cup Trophy does have a Thunder Cloud instead of the Thunderbolt.
