The Stolen Axe is a Spark quest battle in Mario + Rabbids Sparks of Hope, located on the planet Palette Prime. It is part of the side-quest Bury the Hatchet, in which the heroes are asked by lumberjack Sweetlopek to help him find his stolen axe. His Spark apprentice Vampastra guides the heroes throughout Paletteville to interrogate suspects. They eventually get information from The Fork that Hinky stole the axe. The heroes head to his house to retrieve it, but Darkmess covers the axe, and must be stopped in this battle. The heroes must reach the area, which is where the axe is, traveling across a very large battlefield. After the battle, Sweetlopek gets his axe back, and Vampastra joins the heroes on their adventure.

Layout[edit]

The general layout of the battlefield consists of a very large loop around, with mountains in the middle. Throughout the battlefield, there are many Jump Panels and Darkmess Eyes that cover up some of them, which must be destroyed to cleanse the Jump Panels. These Darkmess Eyes do not have to be destroyed. There are also many Stooges, Ghostly Walkers, Depleters, and Squashettes throughout. There are gaps between sections of the battlefield, where Jump Panels can be used to get across.

Starting section[edit]

The heroes start here, and the elevation rises 3 times as the heroes advance. There is a Ghostly Walker with a Stooge here, along with a Darkmess Eye that covers up a Jump Panel. On the next level of elevation, there is one Squashette, Depleter, and Ghostly Walker each. A bridge connects to the next part, where there is higher elevation, containing 2 Squashettes, a Ghostly Walker, and a Stooge. 2 Darkmess Eyes are at this area, one in front of the lower area, and another behind a wall on the lower area. Several Jump Panels are scattered throughout the areas, and one helps the heroes across a gap to the next section.

Middle section[edit]

The middle section consists of another area with 3 levels of elevation. On the lowest level, there is one of each enemy: a Ghostly Walker, a Squashette, a Depleter, and a Stooge. Another Darkmess Eye covers 2 Jump Panels. The middle level of elevation has a Squashette, 2 Stooges, and a Ghostly Walker. Another Darkmess Eye in a hole covers up a Jump Panels; one is needed to get to even higher elevation, while another can get the heroes to the next section. This higher level of elevation has a Jump Panel and a Squashette. Jump Panels are scattered throughout this section as well.

End section[edit]

The last section consists of platforms descending in elevation, along with 3 separate platforms to the left of them. These separate platforms have 2 Ghostly Walkers, along with 3 Darkmess covered Jump Panels. Between the plaforms, there are 3 Darkmess Eyes, which cover up one Jump Panel Each. On the descending platforms, there are 2 Jump Panels, as well as a Squashette. The last Jump Panel leads the axe, which is the area needed to reach.

Battle[edit]

During the battle, Darkmess portals containing Squashettes will appear. Once the axe is reached, the battle is won.
