The Burt Bros. started their lives as two normal Burts. During the events of Yoshi's Island DS, the brothers were magically transformed by Kamek into gigantic Burts (although each one was a little smaller than Burt the Bashful). Yellow Yoshi had to beat the Burt Bros. to continue the Yoshi clan's journey to save Baby Luigi. Although giant-sized, the Burt Bros. acted just like regular Burts. The two would hop on top of each other, then jump off, hoping to stomp the Yellow Yoshi. During the battle, the Yoshi attacked the Burt Bros. while they were stacked on top of each other, hurting them both at the same time. After a few Yoshi egg hits, the Burt Bros. were defeated in the same fashion as Burt the Bashful.
