The Headgear is the device that Fawful uses in Mario and Luigi: Superstar Saga to get around and about. It has jets coming off of its side, a mouth-like doodad at the top, and large space inside to store things that are sucked into it. It does more just make him airborne, it can fire plasma shots from its mouth; these shots are powerful enough to destroy something such as Bowser's Koopa Cruiser. He is often seen wearing this device; in fact, had he not had it at one particular time, Cackletta would have been doomed to die for he sucked her energy up into the Headgear (after she was beaten by Mario and Luigi) to save her after a failed attempt to awaken the Beanstar. Since it was Birdo's voice that was programmed into Cackletta's Peach-Bots, the Beanstar heard it, went mad, and destroyed the floor below it, taking the Peach-Bots with it; after this, the Mario Bros. beat Cackletta, looked for the Beanstar (which was in the possession of Popple, the shadow thief and Rookie). After the Mario Bros. defeat them, a Peach-Bot head continues to speak and the Beanstar goes crazy again; the four hop on and Bowser (who is the last to fall off, remembering who he is and falling in Stardust Fields, where Fawful and Cackletta are looking for a body for her to posses); Fawful then uses the Headgear to put her spirit into Bowser. The headgear was also used at the start of the game to steal Peach's (Birdo's) voice by bringing a gift to her Peach spray gas all over her face; Fawful then sucked up her voice.
