I've completed Paper Mario and Yoshi's Island, and Lavalava Island and Yoshi's Island seem to be one and the same. The first clue was Yoshi's village, that was on Yoshi's Island in Mario and Luigi: Partners in Time. Secondly, what about Raphael the Raven? In Yoshi's Island, he was native to Yoshi's Island, but in Paper Mario he appears in Jade Jungle on Lavalava Island. I suppose he could have flown from one island to the other, but I doubt that. There are loads more similarities between the two Islands, they are both tropical, they are both volcanic, they both have dense jungle and most importantly it was stated in Paper Mario that Lavalava Island was where all Yoshis live, but Yoshi's Island (DS version I think) stated that Yoshi's Island was where all Yoshis live. Obviously all yoshis can't live in two places!

I've completed Paper Mario and Yoshi's Island, and I've noticed Lavalava Island and Yoshi's Island appear to be one and the same.

So could they both be the same island?

-Scruffy

The Yoshis live throughout Dinosaur Land, on the Star World/Road, and on Delphino Island. And that's just off the top of my head. They clearly don't "all" live on either of the islands, so I don't think that's anything to go by. Were there any shots of Lavalava Island as a whole? Did it resemble Yoshi's Island as seen in the Mario World or Yoshi's Island maps? I think that would be a way to judge. ~ Joshi 01:39, 24 April 2009 (EDT)
