Template:Levelbox Swinging Claw Escape is a course which appears in the Story Mode of Super Mario Maker 2. It is Undodog's first job, and it is set in the snow theme. The course has a payment of 200 coins and a difficulty rating of 3/4 stars. The clear condition for this course is to reach the goal without using any Swinging Claws.

Layout

The course starts out with a floor of ice which Mario must walk across. There are two Swinging Claws above him; one of them is holding a Super Mushroom, and the other holds a Dry Bones. When Mario walks under them, the item or enemy they are carrying is dropped. The player must avoid more Swinging Claws while walking across ice and collecting coins. Near the top is a 10-Coin which the player can collect if they are careful enough not to slip on the ice into the Swinging Claw right next to it.

After that is a steep slope with coins which Mario can slide down to avoid a small pit and defeat two Dry Bones at the bottom. Here, there is a long row of ? Blocks which Mario can hit to produce vines. At the top is another 10-Coin, which Mario must collect by avoiding another Swinging Claw. To the right is another Super Mushroom and icicles which take the player down. They must then enter a Koopa Clown Car and fly past Swinging Claws and a Dry Bones, while collecting more coins and a third 10-Coin. They will then reach the Giant Gate, allowing them to complete the level as long as they have also completed the clear condition.
