It was announced in the Nintendo Direct broadcast on February 13, 2019 and is set to release on March 14, 2019. This episode was advertised to include five new courses and 18 new challenges in existing courses.

While not guaranteed to be true for all levels, In this episode [[Captain Toad]] seeks [[Golden Crown]]s, rather than [[Power Star]]s and [[Power Moon]]s as in the previous episodes. Playing the game in the "Adventure for Two" co-op mode allows players to play as Captain Toad and [[Toadette]] at the same time.
