Phony Ball

The Phony Ball is Wario's special ball in Mario Superstar Baseball. When Wario throws the ball, it splits into two in order to confuse the batter as to which one to hit. If they hit the wrong one, they will find a clove of garlic and the pitch will be counted as a strike.
When Wario bats the ball, it splits into two once more in order to leave the fielders guessing which one they should catch. Before Wario can throw Phony Balls in Challenge Mode, he must buy the Gnarly Garlic.
Trivia
- Waluigi's Liar Ball acts in the same way as the Phony Ball.
