Liz, who incorrectly prefers to be known as the Queen of England or Queenie, is an elderly, somewhat insane Brooklynite, who either pretends, or is seriously convinced that she is the Queen of England, and even goes as far as dressing like her. Her name being a short form of Elizabeth may play a part in this. She apparently lives at an asylum as a result of her behavior. Tapioca pudding is said to be her favorite dessert.

History

When the Queen of England came to New York City, Liz took advantage of the opportunity to escape from her home, much against her doctor's orders. Liz wanted to live like common folk, and eventually stumbled upon Mario Brothers Plumbing, where she was greeted by Mario and Luigi, who had no idea that she wasn't really the queen. Liz explained that the reason "we" came to Mario Brothers Plumbing is because "we're" sicked and tired of being treated like royalty. When Luigi asked Liz what she meant by "we", she mentioned that she needed to use the royal wee, or rather, washroom. Queenie then asked Mario and Luigi if they would treat her like common folk, to which they bowed in response.

Over the course of the day, Liz mopped the floor, washed and ironed Mario and Luigi's clothes, and reshingled the roof before preparing the only meal she knew how to cook for lunch, a fish 'n' chips pizza. Mario asked Liz to sit down, but she declined his offer, telling him to forget about it, as she felt that she'd lived as a commoner long enough.

Liz then arranged for a quick ceremony, and asked for Mario and Luigi to bow before her, so that she could dub them both as sirs. At that moment, Liz's doctor arrived at Mario Brothers Plumbing, and was relieved to have found her. The doctor subliminally convinced Mario and Luigi that Liz was actually a crazy woman, and thanked them, as he led Liz back to her home, promosing her tapioca pudding for dessert. After Liz's departure, Mario commented that while she may not have been a good queen, she did make a mean fish 'n' chips pizza, which he and Luigi proceeded to eat.
