A Liftoglobin and its frozen states.

Liftoglobins are rectangular Emoglobins found only in Mario & Luigi: Bowser's Inside Story. While thaw, they are just plane yellow retangles that do nothing for Mario & Luigi. Yet, when Bowser breathes in some of Midbus' chilly breath, they turn solid, and their faces become frowns. Whenever the Mario Bros. Step on one of these guys, their frown is turned upside down. That allows the player to slide the Emoglobin in any direct they want with the flick of the stylus. These Emoglobins can pass through electric wires and lift the bros. to higher places they could not before. If the one or both of the Mario Bros. fall off the Liftoglobin, then it will stop moving, and frown. If the Emoglobin is off-screen without the Mario Bros., then it will return to its original position. Also, if Bowser steps away from the chilly air, then the Liftogoblin will thaw back to it's yellow color, and be stuck in the position it last was in. These guys only appear in the Airway.

Trivia
