Kraid is a dragon-like monster that normally appears in the Metroid series as an enemy of Samus Aran. Mario can encounter this beast in the Brinstar Depths level in the game Super Smash Bros. Melee. Kraid will rise out of the magma and rotate the stage, sending players who are not quick enough into the magma pit.
A trophy of Kraid can also be obtained in Super Smash Bros. Melee by unlocking the Brinstar Depths arena.
