The Dark Growmeba is a sub-species of Growmeba in Super Paper Mario. Like all Growmeba subspecies, they multiply rapidly. However, they are much more difficult to defeat as the true enemy looks exactly like it's clones. It would be recommended to defeat the true Growmeba before it can multiply, though the player would have to go through a Trial & Error Process.

Trivia
- The name Growmeba is seemingly based off of the single-celled organism called an amoeba, which like Growmebas, can multiply at an intense rate. The "dark" moniker comes from the fact that it is a sillhouette.
