Dangerous Ducks, or D.D.s, are common enemies in the Wario series for the Game Boy. They are usually members of Captain Syrup's pirate gang. Dangerous Ducks are anthropomorphic ducks, wearing striped bandannas and goggles. They wield a boomerang as a weapon and their attack pattern is very similar to that of Boomerang Bros.'.
Wario Land: Super Mario Land 3
The Dangerous Ducks first appear in this game, where they are members of Syrup's Brown Sugar Pirates. They try to hinder Wario on his quest for treasure on Kitchen Island. When they spot the treasure hunter, they will stop walking, hit their boomerangs on the ground three times and then throw it at Wario. If they happen to hit him, he will regress to a weaker form or even lose a life.
Wario Land 2
The Dangerous Ducks return in the sequel, after the Brown Sugar Pirates had changed their name to Black Sugar Pirates. Their attack pattern remains exactly the same as it has been in the previous game: Charging and then trowing their boomerangs at Wario. They are classified as heavy enemies in this game, meaning that Wario will slow down significantly when carrying one.
Elite Dangerous Duck
The title of this article is conjectural; an official name for the article's subject has not been found, so it has been given a fitting title by the editors. If an official name is found, then the article should be moved to its appropriate title.
Level 5-3 of Wario Land 2 features a special type of Dangerous Duck, a recoloured, darker-looking version. Although they look more sinister they are not stronger than regular Dangerous Ducks.
It is possible that these Ducks are higher-ranked members of the Black Sugar Pirates, since four of them have been deployed as guards that Wario had to beat before he could progress, which indicates that they are somewhat important.
Flagman DD
An unlockable Minigame which could be accessed by completing the game with 100% featured a Dangerous Duck as host, along with an Inflatoblob and a Tooth-blob. The Minigame itself was a remake of the Game & Watch title Flagman.
