This does NOT belong here

This is like having a page for claw machines that happen to have Mario merchandise in them, or for stores that sell Mario plushies. Unless I am mistaken somewhere, there are no actual Mario characters (besides likenesses of them), no Mario locations, no Mario objects (aside from likenesses) or anything at all except for Mario-related badges, of which there are badges for tons of different series. Does not deserve coverage, nor does the bunny who leads it. Shadow2 (talk) 02:13, 30 December 2015 (EST)

I'm very iffy about this article as well. While I do agree that the Bunny doesn't need an article of his own, this one is debatable as it does include Mario content, even if it is in the form of simple badges. It's all whether or not it can really be considered a crossover. I personally don't find it as much of a crossover, as the only thing that's tying it all together are inanimate badges that are based on different characters. There's nothing much else to it. It's more like a game that's full to the brim with Cameos, but certainly not crossovers. I would apply this same argument to StreetPass Mii Plaza. Despite Mario puzzles and costumes, they're still just a bunch of Cameos. Shadow2 (talk) 01:59, 31 December 2015 (EST)

Of all the wikilinks on this page, all but one of them aren't related directly to Mario (instead related to Nintendo articles and such - not saying those articles shouldn't exist). I think that says a little something about this page deserving to be here. Shadow2 (talk) 23:57, 30 January 2016 (EST)

I have the stance that the game deserves an article here, in the same vein as Nintendo Land, and no, I don't agree with the analogy that this game is comparable to retailers that sell Mario merchandise. Unlike those retailers, this game is an officially licensed, developed Nintendo game within its own intellectual property without any middle man of any sort. Besides, the most content the game offers IS the badges and the themes, so having an extensive Mario set in this game is a pretty big deal all right. We could lessen the coverage in this article, but I definitely think it deserves an article here, as well as keeping the complete sets and themed catchers (as they are official Mario-related content, and thus, we have to cover it). I don't agree that this game is a crossover in the slightest, since the most crossover thing you can do is place Mario badges in a Splatoon-themed home menu, but that's like saying Animal Crossing is a Nintendo crossover if we're going to make that argument; however, I'm not sure if "cameo" is the right term to call this game either, as I think the appearances of the characters is more major than a mere cameo. The bunny is more debatable to keep than this article, very much like Nikki from Swapnote. In fact, the Mario appearances in Swapnote is more of a cameo than in Nintendo Badge Arcade, where the entire point of the game is to collect badges in the first place rather than the optional theme in Swapnote. On the other hand, yeah, I'm not sure if StreetPass Mii Plaza deserves an article. I think even less than Nintendo Badge Arcade. BabyLuigiFire.png Ray Trace(T|C) 00:12, 31 January 2016 (EST)
