Para-Biddybuds make their first appearance in Super Mario 3D Land, where they're often found in groups of five and fly in circles or in lines. Mario can defeat them with any attack, just like Goombas. If Mario manages to stomp on all five of them without touching the ground, an extra life is earned.[2]

- Para-Biddybuds bear minor resemblance to Soarin' Stus from Super Mario Sunshine.
