Coding tags are always typed with the arrows facing outward, so <gallery> rather than >gallery<. Ending a tag requires a forward slash (/) after the first arrow. You can learn more about galleries specifically by taking a look at Help:Gallery.
Also, the image was more of a sprite than an artwork :P
