Bots are automated or semi-automated tools that carry out repetitive and mundane tasks. Their edits do not appear on the recent changes page by default.

The Super Mario Wiki currently uses two bots for general maintenance, MarioWiki Bot (talk) and PorpleBot (talk), as well as the ShroomBot (talk) for uploading new issues of The 'Shroom.
