On all of Bowser's levels, there are diamond shape boxes, with a gole in the center. Those are pyro Boxes.  About every other 3 seconds, a pyro box shoots 8-10 flame balls. Not podoboos.

These guys have no intelligence, and they can not be defeated.
If hit by the flames, [[Mario]] will lose three life points. Additionaly, Mario will run around uncontrolably, possibly forcing the plumber over the edge of a cliff.

A Pyro Box is a mechanical flamethrower found in Super Mario 64.
