Honestly, this might be a little extreme, but we wouldn't be opposed to potentially just straight up splitting ''all'' the versions of Mario's Time Machine and Mario is Missing; if not for the articles themselves, then at ''least'' for the purposes of the navbox. While there's a lot of things shared between them--namely in terms of historical figures met and items--there's also a lot of things that... aren't. And have you '''''seen''''' the resulting navbox that comes from trying to combine all four distinct versions of Mario's Time Machine and Mario Is Missing into one navbox? [[Template:MIM|These things are way, way]] [[Template:MTM|overdue for a full revamp]] that a simple re-design of the navbox just wouldn't allow. {{User:Camwoodstock/sig}} 21:55, March 14, 2024 (EDT)

:That's what the second option is for, but what I'm getting at is that I'll probably be needing..assistance if we want to see that done in full. Really, the way I see it, the PC originals are the most feature-rich, followed by the SNES and then NES getting what are essentially downgraded ports, not too off from how American PC->console conversions tended to be handled - with ''Mario's Time Machine'' breaking the pattern and basically offering a whole other game. Then again, I believe it was Glowsquid who brought up the idea of splitting up the "lesser" conversions somehow (like all the home versions of the arcade games), so maybe that'll be a step in that direction. I think for cases like that, most people by now accept Nintendo's arcade or NES versions as the "baseline" edition. But I digress - the ''MIM'' template shows just how difficult it is to keep track of things, but at least it looks more complete. Should the first option pass, I can see the ''MTM'' template being broken up to have PC/SNES and NES subsections.
