Isaac Newton was a famous scientist that Mario meets in Mario's Time Machine. Newton is famous for one occasion where he was sitting under an apple tree. An apple fell and hit him on the head, and this caused him to define the concept of gravity.
Newton also developed three laws:

  1. Law of Inertia - Something that is not moving will not move until a force affects it, and something that is moving will not stop moving until a force counteracts it.
  2. F=ma F=Force is needed to move an object, m=Mass of the object, a=acceleration object will have once moving
  3. Law of Opposites - Basically, when a force is applied, an equal and opposite force also occurs. For example, gravity pulls you toward the earth. The reason you don't fall into the earth is the existense of the Normal force (the earth pushing back on you).
