Ivysaur is a grass/poison-type Pokémon from the Pokémon series. It will also appear in Super Smash Bros. Brawl, as a playable character. Although it is not a standard playable character, it will be one of the three Pokémon used by the Pokémon Trainer, the others being Squirtle and Charizard. It will be the second Pokémon used in the attack Pokémon Change, coming after Squirtle. Charizard comes after Ivysaur, when Ivysaur is returned.

Like all Pokémon of the Pokémon Trainer, Ivysaur will share the damage meter with the other Pokémon, and will have a special stat, the stamina. It is there to regulate the Pokémon changes. When the player changes Pokémon rarely or too often, the stamina of the Pokémon will run low.
