| Little is revealed about Moon Man Koopa's takeover of Quirk, except that he, his [[Space Troopa]]s and [[Mouser (character)|Astro Mouser]] had succeeded in enslaving the Quirks, presumably using brute force. Learning that [[Mario]] and his friends were on their way to Quirk to put an end to his takeover, Moon Man Koopa ordered his Space Troopas to stop them before they could arrive. Although the Space Troopas failed to stop [[Mario's Spaceship]], they did manage to chase it into a meteor, which sent it crashing down to the surface of Quirk.

| The Quirks that met up with Mario's group explained their situation to Mario's group and led them into the Quirk Factory in order to collect the tools needed to repair Mario's ship. However, Moon Man Koopa managed to capture them with a magnet due to the fact that they had placed tools in their pockets to use as ballast to counter the planet's low gravity.

| As neither Mario's group nor the Quirks could fight back against Moon Man Koopa, the tyrant put them in shackles, which operated on a remote control, and forced them to pound upon a long chain within the Quirk Factory. After sending the two Quirks that had helped Mario's group off to another part of the factory, Moon Man Koopa announced that he was off to plunder other planets, and left in [[Moon Man Koopa's Spaceship|his spaceship]].

| Mario eventually discovered that the electronics in his shackles reacted to loud noises, and managed to utilize this fault to free himself, as did his friends. Mario and his friends then tried to rescue the Quirks in the other part of the factory, but were stopped by Moon Man Koopa, who again tried to capture them with his magnet. However, the Quirks blocked the magnet's pull with their shackles, allowing Mario's group to escape.

| Mario's group later took off from Quirk in their repaired ship, but were pursued by Moon Man Koopa, who attempted to shoot them with various weapons from his ship. Moon Man Koopa eventually tried to crush Mario's ship using the serated "beak" of his own ship, but [[Princess Peach|Princess Toadstool]] countered this attack by jettisoning all of Mario's [[pasta]] into Moon Man Koopa's beak, causing his ship to start losing power and fall down towards Quirk.

| Princess Toadstool realized that Moon Man Koopa was down, but not out, and that he could still enslave the Quirks again. The Quirks, however, realized that if sound could short-out Moon Man Koopa's shackles, the same logic might also apply to his spaceship. The Quirks then used their trumpet-like noises to hum a tune which ultimately destroyed the electronics of Moon Man Koopa's spaceship, and sent it flying through deep space out of control. Unable to regain control of his ship, Moon Man Koopa lost his reign over Quirk.

| As Moon Man Koopa, King Koopa's overall appearance had very few changes. The only notable one was that he wore a bubble-shaped space helmet over his head. For whatever reason, his cuffs were also lacking their usual spikes.

| *Once Moon Man Koopa chased after Mario's spaceship in his own, he returned to his standard King Koopa appearance, presumably because he didn't need it onboard his ship. Also, he is never again referred to as Moon Man Koopa from that point onwards, implying that he may have actually dropped his alter ego prior to the end of the episode.
