Klampons act very similarly to Klaptraps, but are notably bigger and move slower. Klampons attack by repeatedly chomping their jaws while moving back and forth. [[Diddy Kong|Diddy]] and [[Dixie Kong|Dixie]] cannot roll into a Klampon from the side because this injures them, but a Klampon can be defeated from a [[jump]] attack, having a [[barrel]] or [[crate]] thrown at it, from an [[Animal Friend]]. In addition, unlike the case with Klaptraps, the Kongs can roll into a Klampon from above, if they roll from a platform higher than it. Klampons have a functional opposite, [[Spiny (Donkey Kong Country 2: Diddy's Kong Quest)|Spinies]], which are protected from jumping attacks but are vulnerable to frontal attacks, such as in [[Castle Crush]], where defeating either enemy may accidentally cause the [[Kong]]s to become hurt by the other one. Klampons have the same defeated voice clips as [[Klomp]]s as well as many other Kremlings, but are mute in the [[Game Boy Advance]] [[Donkey Kong Country 2 (Game Boy Advance)|version]]. In the cast roll, Klampons are classified as part of the "[[Kremling Kuthroats]]" enemy class.
