There is also a vast jungle in the background of the arena and a [[Barrel Cannon]] underneath the arena.

Kongo Jungle reappears in ''Super Smash Bros. Melee'' as one of the three Past Stages in the game, along with [[Yoshi's Island (Super Smash Bros.)|Yoshi's Island]] and [[Dream Land (Super Smash Bros.)|Dream Land]]. It remains unchanged from the previous game, and it can be unlocked by surviving 15-Minute Melee. ''Super Smash Bros. Melee'' also introduces another stage known as [[Kongo Jungle (Super Smash Bros. Melee)|Kongo Jungle]], however it is vastly different from the ''Super Smash Bros.'' version.

In ''[[Super Smash Bros. for Nintendo 3DS]]'', while the stage itself does not appear, the original background music can be heard in the [[Jungle Japes (stage)|Jungle Japes]] stage, replacing the original theme of the stage.
