A Spiny Fish.

A Spiny Fish is a small fish enemy found in the game Yoshi's Story.

They bear a small resemblance to Cheep-Cheep, although they lack bird-like feature and have a purple coloration and huge, green eyes. They have a lot of spikes, so, if a Yoshi eat them, he will lose some petals. They are exclusively found in underwater levels. They behave much like Cheep-Cheep, although they are quicker and will try to follow Yoshi.

Spiny Fish live in the Yoshi Sea and only appear in Level 5-1: Lot's 'o' Jellyfish and Level 5-2: Lot's 'o' Fish.
