Yeeeeeeeaaaaaaahhhh...I think everyone more or less knows what the word "player" refers to. Phoenix Rider

Yeah, you sure we need this? It seems like any other general word. Tis' a shame to delete an article like this though.Knife (talk)

As redundant as it is, it does pertain to video games, i.e. the Mario series, so it will be kept. Wa Yoshihead.png TC@Y 20:46, 6 November 2006 (EST)
Yes and many characters in videogames talk to the player *laughs*. But anyway why was the trvia there? It wasn't needed here. Paper Jorge

Maybe we could merge this to Fourth Wall...

...In some games, mostly the RPG games, many characters break the fourth wall and talk to the player ("you in front of the TV")...

Fourth wall

Question.svg This talk page or section has a conflict or a question that needs to be answered. Please try to help and resolve the issue by leaving a comment.

The article Fourth wall lists all the fourth wall breakings in the Mario games. This article tries to do so, but it's a mess and it's missing a lot of information. I suggest that we remove all the fourth-wall-content from this article and we focus on the Mario universe players.

Actually I think we should get rid of this article. It's mostly fourth wall reference, and that's "bad" (Mario Wiki:Once and Only Once). The other informations are:
  • characters that play video games
  • synonym for extra life

That's why we should:

  • split the information into the corresponding system
  • make this page a redirect to Extra life (and split the information in the article)

Stuff like this should be put into the glossary, not here in the first place, in my opinion.

Gamer

They are also known as gamers. And I should know. (Clue in the name.) RPG Gamer. I HAVE RPG!! (talk)

Needed?

Is this really needed? Surely everyone should know what 'the player' is. I'd create a TPP to delete it, but a lot of pages link here, so I'm unsure of whether it should be deleted> Yoshi876 (talk)
