Their appearance is similar to a bluish-white square with an afterimage effect and surrounded by some winds. When [[Mario]] is on a high place, a Wind Spirit forms. It first spins around Mario, then suddenly stops and charges him. If it hits him, Mario usually gets knocked off the platform. Wind Spirits can be temporarily dispatched using [[F.L.U.D.D.|FLUDD]] and defeated using a [[Yoshi (species)|Yoshi's]] tongue. Wind Spirits yield a single [[coin]] upon defeat.
