:I know you're pinning the blame on Wario, but we should not neglect the fact that Waluigi is a well known hacker in the Mushroom Kingdom, so I think Waluigi is just using Wario as a means of distraction. It's really a testament to Waluigi's skill that he could somehow break through all the Switch 2's robust security system AND somehow upload mods on Gamebanana AND trick everyone into thinking Wario was actually smart enough to do this. Too bad Waluigi won't share his secrets, as I think it'll be a great boon to user content generation if the Switch 2 can be hacked like this. As for penguins? Well, Wario lost a game of Romance of the Three Kingdoms 11 to the Mushroom Kingdom faction (Waluigi hacked that game to make Wario playable there, versions of ROTK11 in Mushroom Kingdom do have a Mushroom Kingdom faction playable, fyi). Badly. So he's paying back by throwing the penguins off a cliff, but in the ROTK11 fashion of course (beating them at debate).

:[[:File:Mario (Swim) - Mario Party 5.webp]] description shows the kinds of hoops I jumped through to make the animation, but you absolutely don't need to convert it to a Garry's Mod compatible asset to use it. What I recommend is you have the game's files and Dolphin Emulator which can extract the game's files. Once you extract your game partition, the real fun begins.

You have several programs:

*A modeling program. I've used 3DS Max 2020 (paid program, not cheap, don't recommend) to read the <code>.dae</code> files, I ''think'' Blender suffices since tutorials call for using Blender anyway. There is a tutorial where you need to use a converter for Blender usage, which I'll provide at the end of my post.
*An image editing program that can clean up possible backgrounds, crop the image to content, and export to an image animation format like .gif or .webp is recommended. [https://www.gimp.org/ I used GIMP].
#What you do is you open a file you want through Party Studio, so in Mario's case, there is <code>mario.bin</code> located in <code>data/mario.bin</code> from the game partition. The high poly Mario is found as <code>MESH_mario00.z.hsf</code> in <code>mario.bin</code>
#Right click -> archive -> export raw data. Do not export model directly from Party Studio; I believe there will be problems if you do.
#With Metanoia you can open the resulting <code>z.hsf</code> file and then you export it as a <code>.dae</code> file. This file should then be readable in the modeling programs and it ''should'' automatically export textures if you enable that setting. Make sure you export your files to somewhere you can find it and manageable to locate, so I don't recommend putting them on, like, desktop.
#If you're able to open it, you can proceed exporting animations from Party Studio. For swimming Mario, I've exported <code> MOTION_Mario_35.z.hsf</code>. Party Studio also previews animations if you double click on any file with the MOTION_ prefix and open the Animation folder, click on <code>opt_evalScene</code> and then scroll up and click on your <code>MESH_</code> file, but the models aren't very lined up with the bones afaik. You can also navigate the model display with WASD keys and mouse buttons). Double click any of the <code>MOTION_</code> files, open the Animations folder, right click on <code>opt_evalScene</code> and export any of the animation formats your program can open. I've exported <code>.dae</code> files.
#You import the models and animations into your program. In 3DS Max, I first import my <code>.dae</code> model, THEN I import the <code>.dae</code> animation. Before you import animations, however, I do recommending checking your imported model for seams and whatnot that usually result from converted models, which you can fix by either editing normals or merging vertices and applying smoothing IF the model doesn't have smoothing already. I do make sure my scale factors are correct or at least set to default while importing, but idk if this is going to be an applicable problem for anyone new to this.
#I haven't done this personally but the final step is to set up how your scene is illuminated (simple ambient lighting controls with minimal shadows is probably best since Mario Party doesn't have particularly advanced lighting), set up your model's angles to see which best fits for upload to MarioWiki, and render out an animation with the program's rendering tools, and make sure you don't have a background enabled. Not sure how reliable your program is at rendering animation out but I personally rendered a sequence of png images I later put into GIMP as separate layers and then exported as a .gif for MarioWiki and tried to find out the best framerate and whatnot.

Nice to know that there's also someone who knows that in MP4-8 they use 4 different models and they're labeled from 0 to 3 (the highest poly one labeled as 0 (I also call it the 0 model), and then they keep getting lower polymerized, with the 1 model you can already see them becoming a bit blocky. With the 2 model their teeth is now gone and they're even blockier. And then the 3 model is just N64 models V2. I mean that model doesn't even have mouth animations (that's why it's my least favorite. It means a lot to me when my work is appreciated! I know the state of that page of a very popular and best selling game leaves a lot to be desired, so I thought it should be a high priority to address this. I found it not great when the weapons, the second most important part of the game, is tucked under "items and objects" in the table of contents, so I moved it higher and under a more prominent subsection and expanded on that too. There's more expansion I'm planning ahead such as doing writeups of each base game character. I already wrote a lot for Mario and Yoshi discussing their strengths and weaknesses, and I probably should put that information down at some point.
