A '''Trapeetle''' is a spherical beetle enemy, with two large hands, swirly purple eyes and a spike on top. They appear exclusively in the [[Lost Kingdom]] of ''[[Super Mario Odyssey]]''. Their name is a portmanteau of "trap" and "beetle". Upon the first time [[Mario]] tries to throw [[Cappy]] at the enemy, the Trapeetle will catch him in his hands to Cappy's surprise. After glowing red and charging up, the Trapeetle will shoot forward quickly at wherever Mario is, which can cause damage if not avoided. Mario and Cappy can use this to their advantage, by luring the Trapeetle into throwing Cappy into destructible rocks, which can clear the paths or reveal hidden items inside.
