To get to the Gray Key, Wario must go up past the Fire Robota, smash the rocks to the right, go down to break the rocks to the left, and then down to the platform. From there, he must go all the way to the right, where there are mizu no te under some of the platforms that will pull Wario into the water and thus be pulled the current, requiring him to start over from the left side. The key is near the iron wall.

From the Gray Key, Wario must go upwards, and then to the left-leaning slope to roll on it. On the way to the left, there are three Fire Robota and a Prince Froggy, as well as two gaps that must be jumped over. After rolling and crossing the obstacles and reaching all the way left, the Gray Chest is near where Wario stopped rolling.

The Grab Glove allows Wario to grab small enemies or objects by going near them, though small enemies must be toppled first, thereby allowing them to be carried to a different location and be used to throw at Enemy Blocks to break them. This opens the way for new treasures in The Tidal Coast, The Frigid Sea, and The Big Bridge.
