This template is used to format the time signature of a piece of music as two stacked numbers.
On top is the number of beats per bar. The bottom represents which note value (duration) gets the beat.
For example, {{time signature|3|4}} produces 3
4 (for three quarter-note beats per bar). This is preferable to the plaintext form 3/4.
To help readers unfamiliar with music notation, consider including a prosaic name for the time signature alongside this template, such as "common time (4
4)", "cut time (2
2)", or "waltz time (3
4)".
