Pretty smart you are. But that isn't right. The places are named differently and we just don't know.<br><span style="color:Red;">I</span> <span style="color:Blue;">am</span> <span style="color:Green;">Confused</span> 22:01, 21 April 2007 (EDT)

The names are the same in jappanese, it was changed to Shooting star summit when it came out in english. user:Peachycakes 3.14

:Yes, they have the same name in Japanese. Factor in that Shooting Star Summit and Star Hill are located in the same general area in Paper Mario and Partners in Time, and this whole mix-up was one of those freak NoA mistakes. LinkTheLefty 15:25, 12 November 2008 (EST)

This article implies that the M&L:PiT one is different then the other 2. The one in the PiT one doesn't involve any wishes or anything. They have different Japanese names and etc.

#KS3 Per proposal, and the fact that we merged Goby, Yo'ster Isle, Pale Piranha, etc. (Note that if you click on the links, they redirects to their respective articles), and that we split Piranha Plant (Paper Mario: The Thousand-Year Door).
#Bloc Partier - Different Japanese names means different places. Or at least that's the standard we've set...
#Gamefreak75 I guess...per all.

#Turkishcoffee If we're merging Shooting Star Summit, we might as well keep this in.

Going with the Japanese continuity, there are two Star Hills: the Shooting Star Hill (Failing Star Hill) (mis-translated to Star Hill then Shooting Star Summit) that is linked to wishes and is dark blue, and the Star Hill that is linked to the Star Shrine and is light blue. We should maybe split Star Hill (Mario & Luigi: Partners in Time) and Star Hill, then fuse Star Hill and Shooting Star Summit ? I don't know, so I'm not voting (yet). ==Problem==
As you can see above this proposal did actually passed but was labeled a No QUORUM  however, this proposal is well over a year old and the person who proposed this is currently blocked and this proposal is well over a year old my question is do we accept this proposal and split the articles or do we have another TPP about it Goomba's Shoe15
:I changed the label to "Passed". Unless anyone objects, the pages should be split. - 20:28, 7 June 2011 (EDT)

Wait, why the split?
This is probably very old news, but I don't understand this split... From what I understand, it's because the Japanese name is different from its first two appearances and that there's no demonstration that it has anything to do with wishes, but the names basically translate to the same thing ([Falling] Star Hill), and it's in the exact same location as its Paper Mario counterpart (granted, geography was never consistent in Mario games, but certain ideas like Yoshi's Island being somewhere southwest of the Mushroom Kingdom have more or less been constant). If the Star Hills are going to be split because the Japanese names are slightly different, why not also, for example, go through every instance of Yo'ster Isle and Yoshi's Island in the Japanese games, and split that article up as well? Just like Star Hill, Yoshi's Island also changes appearance every game in appears in, so it'd pretty much be the same thing... :I agree it's silly. You can make a TPP on this matter. --Glowsquid (talk) 23:10, 28 April 2014 (EDT)

Based on the above section. The old proposal ended up splitting Star Hill on the basis of the Japanese names, but that is often not the final authority on this Wiki (we still have, for example, Chancellor and Toad Minister, Para-Beetle and Parabuzzy, and even Boo Guy to name a few). The fact is that even if the name is written differently, it still an essentially identical translation ([Falling] Star Hill), the game series even in Japan already often uses many different names interchangeably for the same concepts like the Koopa Troop, and any perceived significant differences in terrain or function with its Paper Mario counterpart (which is in the exact spot) can be chalked up to time traveling to its past incarnation.

#LinkTheLefty Per proposal.
#Glowsquid per above reasoning.
#Ninelevendo We shouldn't of split it, it's like separating Toad Town.
#Yoshi876 Per proposal.
