Made an account to ask this, but now that Snowman is a playable character in the upcoming Mario Kart, this article feels like it needs refining/a new one made entirely.

The species that is now playable in Mario Kart World is obviously not the same thing as the one's that show up in Diddy Kong Racing or Super Mario Maker 2. I think distinction between the living Snowman and random snowmen should be made.
