Where is it confirmed that the creatures in the tightrope game are Snapjaws? This seems akin to speculation in my mind. {{User:Bop1996/sig}}

:I was going to say that the same can almost be said of the original ''Donkey Kong Jr.'' enemy and the ''Mario vs. Donkey Kong'' version (as with Nitpicker), but seeing that all the toy enemies were split in the latter when these don't appear to be mechanical and I think they have more passive behavior in ''Yoshi's Island DS'', it would be consistent with that idea. Also, the fact that they have different Japanese names says nothing at all...</s>   Re-reading LinkTheLefty's comment made me change my mind. In DK Jr. and across the MvsDK series, Snapjaws were mechanical, whereas the Yoshi's Island DS Snap Jaws are organic. We should split them to keep consistency with other situations, such as [[Shy Guy]]/[[Shy Guy (toy)]], [[Ninji]]/[[Ninji (toy)]], [[Monkikki]]/[[Monchee]] etc. -- {{User:Super Radio/Sig}}

Update: the Prima guide for ''Yoshi's Island DS'' states the following in the page 110 "Commentary" box: "Snap Jaws? If these mini croc mouths look familiar to you, then you’ve likely pumped as many quarters into ''Donkey Kong Jr.'' as I have. Seeing these toothy fellas make a return engagement in this game to terrorize Baby DK is a cool bit of nostalgia that any gamer who grew up during the heyday of arcades can appreciate."
