First of all, we don't know if this has a special name, like how Mario is given "Balloon Mario" and Luigi is given "Vanish Luigi", so the name "Fire Breath" is not official. Also, it's categorised as a "form", as it's more of a "special move" (Isn't it kind of strange to have a form that's named "Fire Breath"?). If it is a special move, then it isn't really any different from Bowser's fire breath, so I don't see why this should be a separate article. For example, both Mario and Yoshi's Ground Pound info are in one article, because there aren't any significant differences between them. Also, Yoshi's SMW fire attack is just an attack after eating a red shell, not a form, and same applies to SSBB. So without all that info, there isn't much left. Unless this "form" is given the official name if it exists, I think this article should be merged with Fire Breath.

:::Okay then, thanks for linking it to me. But before I cancel the proposal, should I make a different proposal about renaming the article (unless the name is official)? Because like I stated above, "Fire Breath" for a form kinda doesn't make sense, plus it doesn't have the name "Yoshi" in it like the other Power Flower forms - just in brackets. Mario jc

::::I checked the manual. The official name is "Fire Power". I think we should move it.

Include Yoshi's Island Series?
Should the Yoshi's Island (series) be included in this article? Super Red Watermelon is what grants Yoshi fire spitting. There are some notable differences between Fireball that Yoshi can spit out and Fire Breath. The move from Yoshi's Island seems to fit more here. -- 01:29, 24 November 2016 (EST)

Categorization of This Article
This article is currently (as of the May 22, 2020 revision) located in SM64DS's Form category and the Yoshi's Transformations category. But... according to the article its not really a form. Fire Power is more like a move that Yoshi can use while having a Power Flower active or by eating fire. However, if this article was moved to a "Moves" category, it would be the only one of the Power Flower effects to not be in the SM64DS Form category, and that would be strange as well. What should be done about this?
Is it possible for the SM64DS Form category to have a see also link to this article so that the Fire Power can be properly categorized without breaking the use of the SM64DS Form category to find the other Power Flower abilities? ==Consider Fire Power to be a Move and not a Form, but continue to link to it in the game's Form Category==
SettledTPP
passed
As stated above, Fire Power does not appear to be a form of Yoshi. The article is describing a move with a restriction (Yoshi being able to spit fire after having eaten some) that can have that restriction circumvented for a period of time with a Power Flower. The "form" does not have a visual change either, which is usually a mark of forms in the Mario franchise that aren't Superball Mario. Therefore, this article should be removed from both the Yoshi's Transformations and the Super Mario 64 DS Forms categories and instead be categorized as a Move.
However, it would be bothersome if all of Super Mario 64 DS's abilities bar this one were in the game's Form category, and a user would be confused if they went to Super Mario 64 DS Forms category looking for the results of the game's power-ups and didn't find Fire Power. Therefore, I also propose having a See Also link for the Super Mario 64 DS Forms category leading to Fire Power.

#Salmancer Wouldn't it be strange to look through Yoshi's Transformations and find this? Wouldn't it also be weird to look through Super Mario 64 DS Forms and not find this?
#DarkNight Per proposal.
#LinkTheLefty Like the manual says: "When you get a Power Flower, you'll be able to do character-specific special moves." Since the article excludes other instances of Yoshi breathing fire, and the Power Flower's other character-specific effects are decidedly forms, this seems optimal.
#Waluigi Time I'm not sure how I feel about having a link to this page on the category page itself, but I can agree that this is definitely more of a move than a transformation.
