Let's merge material from Boo Buddy. Mario Mania guidebook uses Disappearing Boo Buddies for the one described in the Boo Buddy article. Both use the same name and are just variations that don't deserve another page.--Platform 07:23, 10 March 2011 (EST)

One, Mario Mania is not official. Two, they are different species, thus they deserve a different article. --Reversinator 13:15, 10 March 2011 (EST)
Mario Mania was published by Nintendo of America so it is official. "The Nintendo Mario Mania Player's Guide is published by Nintendo of America Inc. in conjuction with Tokuma Shoten Publishing Co., Ltd." Can't get more official than that. In fact, the article title "Disappearing Boo Buddies" came from Mario Mania in the first place. This article wouldn't exist if not for that book.--Platform 21:33, 10 March 2011 (EST)
You can also check previous versions in the history to see that it referred to both types. In fact, I made the error in separating the two and tried to correct it. What you did was undo the correction of my error and reversed to a previous version of my own faulty edit. If you go to the edit before I became involved you will see that it is identical to Boo Buddy.--Platform 04:30, 11 March 2011 (EST)
If Disappearing Boo Buddies and other Super Mario World Boo Buddies gets their own article because Mario Mania named it so (and not the many obvious behavioral variants of Chargin' Chuck, mind you), where's the separate page for "Lakitu in a Pipe" and all the enemies in bubbles?
