'''Spiny Shell Smashers''' is a course which appears in the Story Mode of ''[[Super Mario Maker 2]]''. It is given to [[Mario]] by [[Toad (species)|Purple Toad]], and is set in the forest theme and the ''[[New Super Mario Bros. U]]'' style. The course has a difficulty rating of 3/4 stars. Once this course is completed, the trio of [[? Block]]s to the west of [[Peach's Castle]] can be hit, allowing the player to unlock the [[Superball Flower]] as a course part as well as the Superball Mario Mii costume.

==Layout==
The level begins with a [[Warp Pipe]] spawning [[Spiny Shell (red)|Spiny Shell]]s, followed by some [[Hard Block]]s and [[Big Piranha Plant]]s. After passing a big winged [[Muncher]], Mario must follow some vines to some [[Thwomp]]s, which he must take out to proceed to a Warp Pipe. Mario must then follow a [[Snake Block]] across a gauntlet of Hard Blocks and [[coin]]s, which then leads to another Warp Pipe and in turn the [[Goal Pole]].
