Muddy Buddy is a cute little lump of purple mud in Super Mario World 2: Yoshi's Island. If it sees Yoshi it will run at him. Don't worry, it's 100% harmless and won't attack. Yoshi can jump on it to walk across spikes, and still be able to shoot eggs. It can also allow Yoshi to jump high, but if you press down Yoshi will fall off, and possibly fall into spikes.
There's only one known, and it's in Sluggy the Unshaven's Fort.
